Indi Robinson is a groundbreaking deaf actress redefining the way music is experienced by blending American Sign Language with expressive artistry. Through her captivating performances and innovative interpretations, she has built a dedicated following, bridging the gap between music and the Deaf community.
A former dancer, Indi was part of Philly Phresh Crew, performing at major televised events, including appearances with the Philadelphia 76ers, Harlem Globetrotters, Ice Cube’s Big3, and various college games. Her experience in dance has shaped her dynamic approach to performance, emphasizing movement as a powerful storytelling tool.
Expanding her artistic reach, Indi was cast as Marzelline in Fidelio under the direction of Deaf West Theater, in collaboration with the LA Philharmonic, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel and led by Alberto and Joaquín Solano. Her performance brought new depth to classical opera, making it more accessible to both deaf and hearing audiences.
Beyond the stage, Indi has made a significant impact in mainstream media. She appeared in a Nickelodeon commercial for Disability Pride Month, modeled for the Knix undergarment line alongside Ashley Graham, and contributed to Amazon Music Studios’ “Mad Different” series with Lachi and the Lachi Crew.
