The ReelAbilities Industry Summit is a dynamic, forward-looking gathering of entertainment industry professionals committed to advancing disability inclusion, representation, and accessibility in film, television, and the performing arts. Presented by the ReelAbilities Film Festival, in partnership with the NYC Mayor Office of Media and Entertainment (MoME), this summit brings together creatives, executives, advocates, and emerging talent—both in-person and virtually—to exchange ideas, build connections, and propel inclusive storytelling to the forefront of our industry.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to reshape who gets to tell stories, who appears on screen and on stage, and who holds leadership roles behind the camera and behind the scenes. Through panels, workshops, keynote sessions, pitch opportunities, expert meetings and networking events, we highlight authentic storytelling-led by and about people with disabilities—and create pathways for opportunity, visibility and transformation across the entertainment ecosystem.
Since its launch in 2022, the Summit has grown into a major catalyst for change—bringing together industry leaders, disabled creators, and rising professionals to nurture new projects, push best practices, and deepen intersectional representation.
Whether you’re a producer, filmmaker, distributor, venue manager, arts-administrator, performer, or advocate, the ReelAbilities Industry Summit offers you a platform to learn, network, pitch and help build a media landscape that is richer, more diverse, and truly accessible for all.
